Monday, July 19—Concrete work in median; pave WB to EB crossover near Cherry St.; construct crossover from WB to EB near the westerly project limits.

 

Tuesday, July 20—Continue median concrete work; pave WB to EB crossover near Cherry St. and WB to EB crossover near the westerly project limits.

 

Wednesday, July 21—Mill WB inside lane and shoulder; construction of north leg of School Street intersection on the WB side of M-121 **(dependent on work progress with City’s Contactor).

**Work on the north leg of the School Street intersection is currently scheduled for Wednesday, July 21.  However, our Contractor’s ability to begin work as scheduled depends on the progress made by the Contractor working for the City of Hudsonville in that intersection.  Delays in completion of the work by the City may push our Contractor’s work, and subsequently the closure of the north leg of School Street, later in the week.

Tuesday, June 29—Paving of the crossovers and left turn lanes indicated in Monday’s work.

 

Wednesday, June 30—Paving of the crossovers and left turn lanes indicated in Monday’s work.

 

Thursday, July 1 and Friday, July 2—Grading of first median crossover West of School Avenue (WB M-121 to EB M-121, located 1300 feet West of School Avenue).

Monday—Driveways on the east end of the project that are currently closed will be opened--the remaining driveways in the vicinity will be closed for reconstruction; pave WB shoulder

 

Tuesday—Place WB gravel shoulder; continue work on closed driveways

 

Wednesday—Continue work on closed driveways; work on driveway between EB M-121 and Service Drive located directly east of 32nd Ave.

 

Thursday—Continue work on closed driveways; work on driveway between EB M-121 and Service Drive located directly east of 32nd Ave.

 

Friday—Flip WB traffic from inside lanes to outside lanes; begin work on inside shoulders, crossovers, etc.

 

Throughout this time period, work on sidewalk ramps and other minor items around the project site will be ongoing.  In addition, it is anticipated that the driveways that are currently closed will be opened late next week.  When they are opened, work will begin on the remaining driveways.

 

5/28/2010 - Call was made to MDOT to see if a water truck could go by between 32nd and 36th to calm down the concrete dust sticking to vehicles.

1. *All workers are required to be off Michigan roads until Tuesday, but they will still try and see if they can get a water truck to run through.
   

2. *Normally the concrete is removed and there are no business’ on the roads in which they are working. So they are going to address how to handle the issue before the next cuttings start.

During the concrete repair process, 36th Ave and 32nd Ave may have single lane closures at the M-121 intersections.  A minimum of one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic on each of these roadways through the intersections.

 

During the concrete repair process, Cherry Street, Plaza Avenue, and School Avenue may require complete closure at the M-121 intersections.

Thursday—Concrete patches; WB shoulder construction

Friday—Pave WB shoulder; begin diamond grinding of roadway surface

Saturday or Monday—Begin milling and repaving WB roadway

5/20/2010 Contractor activity for week May 24th – May 28th:

Daily WB lane closures from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Daily EB lane closures from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Monday-Remove eastbound right turn lane and every other driveway on east end of project.

Tuesday - Morning-Saw cutting for westbound pavement repairs; work on right turn lane and driveways mentioned above.

Wednesday-Remove eastbound right turn lane through Cherry Street and repave; saw cutting for pavement repairs

Thursday-Open Cherry Street in morning; place curb and gutter in driveways mentioned above; saw cutting for pavement repairs

Friday – Work on EB and WB bridge approaches, saw cutting for pavement repairs.

Thursday - Start paving areas that have gravel at 32nd/westbound M-121, 36th/eastbound M-121 and Plaza.

Friday - Continue Paving in areas stated above.

 

Night time

M-121 eastbound sawcutting joints on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

1. *Lane closures on M-121. Eastbound lane closures begin after 9 AM and westbound lane closures completed before 4 PM for intersection reconstruction and utility relocation.
   

2. *One lane of traffic in each direction of M-121 will be maintained at all times..
